Happy 1st September!

I so love the month of September to observe the changing leaves on the trees and the marvellous colours that it paints for us to see in all Gaia's glory. The only aspect is that the days are often less warm than in summer but all it takes is a little extra effort to put on a few more layers to keep warm and then a walk in the local countryside can be so invigorating for clearing one's mind and restoring a sense of balance to all the non-sense that often surrounds us.

Wherever you are on Planet Earth please take some of your precious time to restore the balance in your life with a touch of nature's glory, whether you are experiencing a season of autumn, winter, spring for summer. Happy 1st September!

Much love,

Compassion is in fashion!

Have you noticed recently a slight difference in the way people are reacting to one another? Sadly there has been a number of accidents and tragedies experienced around the world in recent months, more so it would seem than we are used to hearing about. Yet, although this can be very unsettling for those not involved in the sadness and grief of losing a loved-one to such an occurrence, there has been an outpouring of kindness, compassion and individuals choosing to use their voice instead of being an echo or keeping silent.

Amidst the chaos, frustration and in some cases fear, there is an invisible cloak of benevolent energy helping humanity to waken up to their responsibilities like never before on this planet and it is enabling individuals to become more tuned in to their inherent desire to be loving and kind.

Can you sense it in the air around you?

Can you hear it in the bird song?

Can you FEEL it in your heart?

For the first time in humanity the compassion factor in people is growing and it is so beautiful. An increasing number of individuals are fed up hearing about drama and warring. They are slowly one by one choosing to think differently and once they have weighed up their thought process they are choosing a more peaceful and serene lifestyle that brings with it greater understanding of humanity and increased compassion for others. They know that love and fear cannot co-exist and they are choosing love.

Welcome to the currency of compassion! I dare you to venture out today and feel it for yourself and perhaps even express it in the form of a smile to a stranger or a laugh among friends! Let me know how you get on, won’t you?

Have a wonderful day filled with love,

Listening in Love!

Most of us are able to enjoy listening to music in all its various forms and some are privileged to attend wonderful concerts - including beautiful classical concerts, rock concerts and pop concerts. Isn't it interesting that when it comes to listening to our favourite music we have no problem in tuning in to the wonderful vibrations?

Sometimes, however, we do have attentive issues in listening to our loved-ones. Our minds are busy running through lists or thinking about tasks still to be done, admin to be completed, all the things that are distracting you from the present moment of enjoying time with your loved-one. Indeed, in some instances if your loved-one has early signs of dementia then listening to your loved-one may even seem very frustrating. If you can find any similarity in these words then allow me to remind you that listening is our natural birthright. I know with my own mother that in her days of early diagnosed dementia I would feel very frustrated, anxious and spend time correcting her when I knew she was telling me stories about what she had done that were untrue. Her physical immobility, for example, prevented this. Yet, why could I not simply listen in love to her wonderful tales of walking through the countryside in the summer breeze meeting various neighbours that she had known in her youth? The lesson for me was to learn to have a willingness to listen to the meaning behind the words rather than to the facts of what was being spoken by my mother. Once I learned to do this, listening brought a sense of wholeness both to me and to the relationship with my mother. I would enjoy spending as much time with her as possible and often laugh with her about some of her antics!

When we listen to the dreams of a person's heart rather than correcting them all the time over trivial facts then the connection becomes sacred, special and pure. So next time you feel that you are not giving of you listening attention  make a choice in that moment to give of your full presence to the situation and enjoy listening in love!

Have a blessed day!

Happy Independence Day!

Wishing all of my American colleagues, friends and acquaintances a very Happy Independence Day!

Once again the 4th of July has come round on the calendar - today it is 4 July, 2017, with the numerology of the year date 2017 adding up to a number 1 (2+0+1+7=10 and 1+0 = 1). This suggests that this is a year for all kinds of new beginnings, whether these are personal, project oriented, work related or otherwise.

When I am reminded of this day the need to give attention to one's independent personal thoughts come to mind. Many of you may know that I am thrilled to be able to channel poetry and so today's words are to remind each of us of the importance of retaining our own thoughts and listening to ourselves, regardless of what others may think:

BE OF INDEPENDENT MIND,

FOLLOW YOUR OWN COURSE OF ACTION DESIGNED,

MAINTAIN YOUR CONVICTION THAT SUCCESS YOU WILL FIND!

Warm wishes,
